Who is responsible for your data
Andrew Abdul-Malek, trading as Parallax Aerial, is the data controller for the information described here. A sole trader based in Slough SL1, Berkshire, United Kingdom, operating across Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, the M4 corridor and Greater London.

What the enquiry form collects
The enquiry form on the homepage asks for your name and email address, and optionally your company, role, phone number, site address or postcode, approximate site size, how often you need the work, what output you need, your deadline and any notes you add.
Only name, email, site address, site size, frequency and output are required. Everything else is optional, and the site address is asked for because without it a reply can only be a question rather than a price.

Where it goes
The form is processed by Formspree, which forwards submissions to my email inbox. Formspree is based in the United States, so submitting the form involves a transfer of your data outside the UK. That transfer relies on the safeguards in Formspree's data processing terms, including standard contractual clauses. If you would rather not have your details handled that way, email or phone me directly instead — both reach the same place.
I do not sell your data, and I do not share it with anyone else except where a job genuinely requires it — for example passing a flight window to your site manager, or providing my insurer or the Civil Aviation Authority with records if they ask.
How long I keep it
- Enquiries that don't become work — up to 12 months, then deleted.
- Enquiries that become work — kept for the duration of the job and then 6 years, which is how long a claim can be brought and how long records may be needed for tax purposes.
- Flight logs, RAMS and permissions — 6 years, for the same reason.
- Captured imagery — see below.
Imagery captured on a flight
Aerial capture can incidentally record people, vehicles and neighbouring property. I fly to the mission agreed with you and do not deliberately capture identifiable individuals. Where someone is incidentally identifiable in an image that will be used publicly, I blur or crop them, or I don't use the frame.
Imagery from your site belongs to the job and is delivered to you. I keep a working copy for as long as the site is under a monitoring agreement, plus 12 months, so that a later visit can be compared against earlier ones. Demonstration captures over sites where no permission is needed — the ones shown on this website — are my own and are kept indefinitely.
If you appear in an image on this site and want it removed, email me and I will remove it.
Cookies and analytics
This site sets no cookies for analytics or advertising. The only thing stored in your browser is your light or dark colour-scheme preference, which is kept in local storage on your own device, is never sent anywhere, and clears when you clear your browser data.
I use Cloudflare Web Analytics to see aggregate traffic — page views, referrers, countries, browsers and basic performance. It does not use cookies, does not build a profile of you across sites, and is not used for advertising. The measurement script is loaded from Cloudflare when a page is opened.
Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which means Google receives your IP address in order to serve them. The showreel video is served from Cloudflare, which likewise sees your IP address when the video loads.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask me to give you a copy of the data I hold about you, correct it, delete it, restrict what I do with it, or provide it in a portable form. You can also object to processing I carry out on the basis of legitimate interests. There is no charge, and I will respond within one month.
If you are not satisfied with how I have handled your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. I would rather you came to me first so I can put it right.
Changes to this notice
If this notice changes materially I will update the date at the top. This version replaces any earlier one.
